Project | Do good
Spread the love
Project | Do Good is our chance to help women who could use a little support.
As a first step, we're donating 1% of our sales to the women's organization of your choice.
For now, we've selected three organizations for you to choose from, but we're always looking for new women's focused organizations to add to the list.
Shoot us a note if you have a suggestion!
This is only the beginning of our vision for Project | Do Good. Help us spread the love!
Dress for Success Worldwide – West
Dress for Success Worldwide – West opened their doors December 7, 2009. Since then, they have served over 10,000 women in the greater Los Angeles area. Dress for Success Worldwide-West empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
We've visited their showroom in Downtown LA and can vouch that they've got a great team and numerous effective programs focused on job readiness, job retention, leadership development, and financial education.
Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy. Our programming – delivered to 156,000 girls in partnership with schools and at our centers – across 81 affiliates in over 320 cities and 1,400 sites focuses on the development of the whole girl.
A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a safe pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to lead healthy and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their communities.
We love their mission and we respect their work. Girls Inc. is truly a voice for our girls and we're happy to support them in any way we can.
Founded in 2015, SPEAK Mentorship provides immigrant and first generation American young women with the support and guidance they need to establish clear college and career goals to become future leaders in the workforce.
Reaching over 75 mentees to date, SPEAK Mentorship pairs young women in high school with professional women based on career interests and cultural needs. Tailored to career interests, mentors and mentees meet to discuss what the mentees' chosen profession is like, the soft and hard skills required to be successful, relevant majors and college options, and how to overcome potential hurdles of different types - including culture and gender related issues.
Coming from professional backgrounds, we know the power of mentors and how they can accelerate your growth. Our founder, Quynh, is a mentor with SPEAK Mentorship, and we can honestly say, they've got a great mission and program we want to support.
